That is why it is very sad to know that some babies get abandoned by their mothers or parents even on the day they are born. They are left to die. Many of these babies if not lucky die , but the fortunate ones may get rescued or saved. There have many cases especially in Ghana where people have found newly born babies wrapped in cloth or even in polythene bags or damped at the refuse damp. Osu Children's Home
This one of the most popular orphanages in Accra. It is located at Labone adjacent the Labone Senior High School with the google map location as 21 Ndabaningi Sithole Rd, Accra. Osu Childrens Home for many years have been home to many under privileged children and children without parents. Majority of the children here go to school. What I find most amazing about this place beyond its status for providing a home for the children is the serenity and neat environment. The compound has a playground, basketball court and is relatively safe for children.It is so impressive how the children are being treated and all. It is such a great moment that some of the children are made to attend independent schools so they can be more sociable. Dedicated care givers and other staff working towards the proper upbringing of orphans and other vulnerable children. Make donation to this home, no donation is too small for the kids there.

New Life Orphanage Home
New Life Orphanage home deals with the care and personal development of underprivileged children (orphans and abandoned) in terms of education, feeding, shelter, medication and clothes. They have taken the total responsibility of ensuring that children who are admitted into the orphanage are properly cared for. They also run educational sponsorship program for brilliant but needy children to have basic education.

Great Mission International Rehabilitation & Children's Home
Great Mission International is a non-governmental, non in profit making Organization currently located at 2 Odum Lane, Cactus Street, Teshie, Accra.They have built homes to care and cater for abandoned children, orphans, the neglect in our society. They have also established schools to give education freely to the under-privileged living in rural areas. St Bakhita Foundation Orphanage
The St. Bakhita Foundation, located at HVXF+8QM, Unnamed Road, Accra Ghana.It is a home caring for girls and young women between the age of 1 and 25.

Chosen Children's Centre
Chosen Children is a faith based N.G.O. is made up of Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centres and an Orphanage Home. Chosen Children located at 566 Boame St, Darkuman rescues orphans and street kids from the slums/ghettoes in Accra and offers them shelter, education and medical care. Chosen rescues children who are found loitering in the ghettoes because their parents are addicts and have been abandoned
They also rescue drug & alcohol addicts, babies that are addicted through breast-feeding, abused women and abandoned street kids and orphans. The organisation offers them shelter, basic needs and skills training. With your donations we further their education, secure jobs for them, and reunite them with their families. BLESSED ORPHANAGE HOME
Blessed Homes works with children whose families are not able to provide for them. Some are orphans while others are affected by abuse and neglect.
At this home, they want each child to grow up in a safe and loving environment with the opportunity for education and play. Children in their care are enrolled in schools. They provide uniforms, school supplies, transportation (as needed), and school fees. Children are also given opportunities to develop their own interests through sports, creative arts, language studies, and special trainings.
It takes many loving people to care for our children. Blessed Homes looks at the individual needs of each child. They ensure the children have access to healthcare, working with the government healthcare system and NGO-funded care. They connect with other organizations in the area who can provide expertise. When special support is greater than they can provide, they refer children to other organizations.
